Hello again ladies!
This blog post will be all about new, fun and exciting date night
ideas! You know you love it when your
significant other takes you out for a night on the town, don’t you? We do too, after a long week of work and
whatever else we have going on, spending some quality time with that special
person is just what we need! We decided
to explore the town and give you our top picks for fun things to do that are
different from the typical dinner and drinks.
Here is what we have picked, enjoy!
Galaxy Drive In
So this drive in is located about 35 miles outside of
Dallas, in Ennis, TX. We promise you it
is worth the drive! Galaxy Drive In is
open 7 nights a week with up to date movies.
Here’s how it works, at this drive in you show up for a double header for
only $6 per adult or $3 per child. Your
first movie choice beginning around 9:00 PM or when it is dark enough to see 10
minutes after that movie, your second movie will start, there are six different
screens showing a different combination of movies. If you want to get there early for a good
spot, the theater and snack bar open at 6:00 PM, there is a mini golf course to
keep you busy, $3 per game or $4 for 2 games.
Also you are allowed to bring your furry friends with you to the drive
in if you choose. Galaxy Drive In does
not allow you to bring outside food or drinks, but you will see their snack bar
has a lot to choose from at EXTREMELY reasonable prices. If you need any additional information, here

Shakespeare in the Park
This is an awesome concept!
You get to see Shakespeare’s work in the comfort of a park setting! Currently there are three plays in rotation,
so check their website to pick a night to go http://www.shakespearedallas.org/. While the parks offer concessions, they allow
you to bring in coolers with your own food as well as beer & wine. Currently they are running their plays on the
Samuell Grand Park stage, located in East Dallas. They also have stages located in Addison
Circle and close to White Rock Lake. If
you go to or have been to one of these, tell us about your experience!
Dallas Arboretum Concerts
Our next choice does not start back up until September, but
we love concerts at the Arboretum. The
Arboretum has been voted Best Concert Venue by D Magazine. They have hosted bands such as Asleep at the
Wheel and Emerald City. So pack up your
blankets or chairs, a cooler with a yummy meal or snack and your favorite
beverage (you can bring in alcohol), get out there and enjoy an amazing view of
White Rock Lake paired with great tunes!
Their concert series starts back up September 5th; check out
their page for concert details and FAQ http://www.dallasarboretum.org/concerts/.
Black Watch Charters
This option is SO romantic, it can be pricey, but sometimes
we need to spoil ourselves! Black Watch
Charters offer a few packages for sailing on Lake Grapevine, if you call them I
am sure they will customize anything you would like. The first option is a Fireworks Sail under
the Texas Night Sky, every Friday from Memorial Day to Labor Day, the City of
Grapevine and Gaylord Texan Hotel team together to put on lavish firework
shows. You get a 3 hour sailing trip ending
with this firework show. The next option
is a Romantic Dinner Cruise. This sail
is 3 hours as well, it includes a 4-5 course Italian meal, bottle of wine and
personal flower arrangements…sounds amazing!
Their last package could be fun with a group of friends, Texas Style
Sailing BBQ Picnic. This package includes
BBQ sandwiches, chips, dessert and a bucket of ice cold beverages! These date options sound like SO much fun!
Klyde Warren Park
Our last choice for fun date ideas is Klyde Warren Park! Dallas did an awesome job with
this fun, active park! There is always
something going on here for a great date night including plays, musical events
and art festivals. Check out their
calendar to see what you may enjoy. http://www.klydewarrenpark.org/Things-To-Do/index.html
We hope this page gave you some ideas for fun and unique
date night ideas, if you decide to do any of them, please update us on your
experience! We would love to hear how it
went! (We love pictures too!)
