Hello beautiful fashionistas! We wanted to make this week’s blog about our
furry friends, and we are so excited! If

animals! This blog will be dedicated to picking
out your perfect dog, caring for your new friend and fun furry animal things to
do in Dallas!
So you know you want a dog, but how do you decide which
breed is a best match to be your newest BFF?
If you don’t know about the different dog breeds or you have never owned
a dog before, we suggest doing some research before making a commitment. Smart Select has
a great 21 question quiz that can help you narrow down your ideas to those that
best match your answers; from there you can start some real research. Once you have selected your breed, think
about what age dog you want. We are firm
believers in rescuing pets, trust us; you will not have a problem finding your
chosen breed and age. Adopting gives a
second chance to those who deserve it most.
Owning a pet is so rewarding, but one thing we have to
remember is that our friends rely on us for everything, their whole lives! We don’t want to lecture on how to care for
your dog, but we want to give you a few basics.
Dogs can easily get infested with ticks and fleas, so make sure you have
them protected with a monthly flea and tick repellent. Along with ticks & fleas, they can get
internal issues, such as heartworms; these come from a simple mosquito bite so
every dog is at risk. This preventative
is a lot like flea & tick preventative and they can even be bought
together. Outside of those two things,
just keep an eye out for any distress in your furry friend, make sure they get
a yearly checkup at the vet and you will be great!
