Hair to Beat the Heat

Hey beautiful dolls!
So if any of you have hair like mine (aka a frizzy long lions mane with a life of it's own -- and when I say lions mane I mean it literally because I have red hair!) summer heat is not always the easiest. As someone with long thick wavy.. errr more frizzy hair I've had to learn how to keep it at bay! And don't even get me started when the humidity rolls around. My lions mane then goes from 1 to 10 in about 2 minutes!
So over the years I've learned that when the hot hot hot days come around my days of wearing my hair are over!
What I have done is created  a pretty extensive repertoire of hair dos for me to fall back on!
I will admit it's taken me a little while to get the hang of doing cute up dos to myself but thanks to the millions of YouTube gurus out there and all their tutorials I've gotten half decent!

Here are some of my fav go-tos that I rely on a lot for day to day during the hot hot hot days when my hair just CAN NOT be down!

Messy High Bun

These are my go-to up dos to keep my hair out of my face when the heat just makes it more of a frizzy sticky mess than it is on its own!
So the next time you can't handle all that hair all up in your face try one of these up dos, they haven't failed me yet!

Summer Skin Care

We like to keep things glamorous here at Krimson and Klover. It's important to look your best and be healthy. One way of doing that is protecting your skin. If you want to keep wrinkles away and lower your chances of health problems in the future you need to start protecting your skin today. Summer is coming and we wanted to share some of our favorite summer skin care products!

1. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer SPF 50+

This sunscreen is great for your face. Believe me ladies you want to prevent wrinkles as long as possible and nothing makes them come faster than sun damage. That's what they make bronzers for! Protect that lovely face of yours! Use higher SPF under your makeup and it's just that easy.

2.  Hawaiian Tropic SPF 30
This is our go to beach/pool day sunscreen. It smells AMAZING. It also leaves your skin feeling nourished and glowing. You will be turning heads in this sunscreen!

3. E.L.F Lip Tint SPF 8
Sun care can still be glamorous! Keep your lips safe from sun's harmful rays and looking pretty in pink with this ELF lip tint. It's cheap too no need for spending tons to look fab!

4. Kiehl's Skin Tone Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream SPF 50
This one is a little more pricey ladies, but it does the trick. It's all in the name. Beautifying cream?! Say no more. This will leave you with a perfect base for your makeup and provide the sun protection you need on a daily basis. Job well done!

Now let's be honest here. We all love a good tan, especially with summer coming up! There are ways you can still get that tan without harmless effects of the sun! Check out the sunless tanners we are LOVING here at Krimson and Klover.

1. Jergens Natural Glow Mousse
I feel like this is a tried and true favorite of many. It's affordable and works well for the money. We like the mousse formula for helping to prevent streaking. It's a great go-to.

2. Loreal Sublime Bronze
This has been a newer favorite. The tan is deep and dark and looks super natural. It's also affordable and can be found at the drugstore. What's not to love?!

4. St. Tropez Dark Sunless Tanner
Looking for the luxury sunless tanner that is worth every penny? Look no further. This is seriously amazing stuff. It comes at a price of around $60, but let me tell you it is outstanding. Treat yourself for protecting your skin this summer and splurge on this!

We hope this helped with how to keep your skin safe this summer. Stay safe and stay beautiful out there!

Your Ultimate Guide to Flawless Skin and Hair

Now, as summer is here, you don’t have to fuss about thick coats and layering, just simple and refreshing summer wear and tiny dresses. Yeah, but next to dressing up comfy, health and beauty is equally important and additionally gives you back that feeling good sensation. First of all, feeling good in your skin is perhaps one of the most important things that makes you feel not only confident but maintaining a healthy skin and hair mirrors your inner health and that’s pretty important. In order to keep yourself healthy and to have a glowing skin, there are a few tips that if followed, it would be your favorite summer guide.

1. Hydrate
Regardless on the weather, hydration is one of the most important things that a woman should focus on, because a glass of iced tea not only makes you chill in a hot summer day, but is also a great supply for the amount of perspiration you had. More ever, it is important that the more liquid you drink, the fresher you feel, due to some biological processes. Also, hydration makes wonder with your hair as well, so whenever you can, drink tea, bottled water or juices of any kind. Don’t forget, your body will be thankful for that. Summertime, eat as much watermelon you can, since it has 91% water and it’s extremely beneficial and yummy, yeah.

2. Have a well balanced diet
That’s obvious that alimentation is like fuel to the body, and nothing works without a great amount of energizing supply we name it food. A hectic way of life filled with constant fast-food easting not only is unhealthy but is also exhausting for the organs and this way of life will be reflected on your skin as well, in the form of acnes and the uncomfortable feel of greasy skin. So, try to introduce into your diet the more veggies and fruits as you can. Also, don’t forget about dairy products as well. Milk, yogurt, butter contain a lot of vitamins that are necessary in the grow of the hair and the health state of the skin.

3. Fresh air and sports
It is very well known, that since the vitamin C is highly beneficial for your bones and skin, the D vitamin produces only to the action of the sunshine. Also, as being outside, this not only fills you up your lungs with fresh air, but reinvigorates both your body and soul. Doing sports is a great way to maintain your health, and if something feels good to you, this will be seen on your skin as well. Yoga, Pilates, running or Zumba. The recommendation of every specialist is to combine sports with a well balanced diet and for sure you will find both your inner peace and will have a glowing skin and hair.

4. Moisturize
A busy day exhausts not only your soul but your body as well and there will be visible signs on it. To reinvigorate your body, moisturize your body, legs after every shower with nourishing body creams. Find the matching cream to your skin type and apply always when necessary in order to avoid your skin from drying.

Until Next Time!
